In the Community
As one of Denver's fastest-growing private companies, the Market Creation Group (MCG) truly believes that successful companies should make it a priority to give back to their community. And, just like everything else we do, we don't just dabble in community service... we go all-in! Here are a few examples of how MCG has shown its strong support for the surrounding community, and the causes near and dear to our hearts:
American Heart Association
As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, MCG CEO and President Brett Schklar is a spokesperson for AHA, telling his story of being a heart attack survivor and becoming a successful entrepreneur. In MCG’s first year of participation in the AHA's Heartwalk, we raised almost $4,000 in donations.
The ArtDistrict on Santa Fe
In the heart of Denver, almost literally in the middle of where all major roads intersect, you'll find a beautiful art district that is comprised of almost 70 amazing galleries. And, in the middle of the district, you'll find MCG! Not only does MCG host its BYOB2B (bring your own business-to-business) events for business technology executives during the famous Santa Fe ArtDistrict Artwalk, but we highlight a different artist each month, using our studios as gallery space. All proceeds from the commission of gallery space are donated to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. In addition, Brett Schklar is proud to serve as a board member of the ArtDistrict, helping guide marketing and overall strategy for the district.
Bring Your Own B2B (BYOB2B) Events
On several first Fridays of the month, MCG hosts a social gathering to bring together the top minds in the B2B technology space in Colorado. These events, which typically coincide with the ArtDistrict on Santa Fe's First Friday Art Walk, bring in groups ranging in numbers from a few dozen to over 1,000, giving like-minded individuals the chance to connect and exchange ideas about B2B technology. Check out our News page to find out when the next BYOB2B event is scheduled.
Coolest Women We Know
The "Coolest Women We Know" is a Women's Technology Association based in Denver, Colorado. Their primary mission is to provide networking, mentoring, promotion and support amongst women in technology careers and to help increase the number of women in Engineering and Science through programs and events.
Denver Software Club
Brett Schklar has always been a supporter of local technology companies. As such, he is a member of the Board of Directors for the Denver Software Club.
Rocky Mountain Children's Law Center
MCG is a proud donor and supporter of the Rocky Mountain Children's Law Center. Not only does MCG financially support the center on a regular basis, it will be holding a large event for April's First Friday in 2010 to raise additional awareness and support for the organization.
